I will be doing a performance art piece I created at Adobe Books soon. As part of what I need for this performance, I am hand-cutting well over a thousand paper snowflakes. They are coffee filters which I am cutting one at a time, as each needs to be as unique as possible. I haven’t been counting the total number done yet, but I know approximately how many filters I purchased.
Last night I sat down at the dining room table, put on some records, and began cutting. After 6 hours (with a meal break), I cut 105 different snowflakes. It makes my average time to be about 3 minutes per flake.
More information about the performance will be available as soon as I know.
